Now, I understand that this may be a controversial topic but here goes anyways...
I told my husband that I thought it would be nice to have a push present. I wanted something to either capture the moments of our new little guys life or something that I could wear and look at to remember him.
These were the two things on my list...
A nice digital SLR camera.
I have seen some amazing pictures come from this puppy and I thought what would be better then to have a nice camera to document our new precious baby boys life.
Number 2 on my list, was a David Yurman bracelet. I first wanted his birthstone but it was almost the same as mine and I am not a fan of mine (mine is a garnet). So I decided that I wanted blue, you know for a boy. Plus it would go with a lot of stuff I wear.
I never really had to push and don't know how it is humanly possible to be honest. My epidural decided not to work so I was in crazy amounts of pain until I told the doctor I just couldn't do it anymore. Then they decided to do a C Section. To be honest I think my husband deserves some sort of gift for having to endure all my pain and running around on that day. He was amazing. He took great care of the two of us!
I actually did not end up getting either push presents. Which is ok. My amazing husband surprised me with a gorgeous ring I had been eyeing at the local jewelry store. I actually think it is better then my picks.
What did you husbands or significant others get you for your push present?

Good topic... Must have been on the same page!
DSLR seems like a good option, as you know that's where we are headed. Just have to figure out which one will be the best fit.
No kiddos here, so I can't really comment. :)
But YES, I do wish it was the weekend again -- the husband and I were making plans for next Friday and laughing that we clearly want to be friday already.
My birthstone is garnet too, and like you, I don't love it!
Um, I've had 3 children and did not get any push presents. I was watching Antiques Roadshow a few weeks ago and someone brought in a boxed set of cameo jewelry (Tiffany, I think) and the appraiser said it was probably a gift from a husband to wife on the birth of their first child. That's when I realized that he owes me!
Oh I love talking push presents! I know lots of my good friends who think I'm crazy but the hubs was on board and definitely thought that I deserved it!
I want to see the ring you got!
Here's my push pres story: http://beachbumandbaby.blogspot.com/2010/10/non-push-present.html
No push pressies yet for me...but I think this is a great idea for next time (if/whenever that may be!) I'll be sure to mention it to the baby space man ;)
This is our first baby, so no push presents, yet? I don't know if I will get one or not. I know my mom got one when she had my brother! A beautiful diamond and emerald ring!
what?!?! i had no idea such a present even existed...need to research this and leave hints around so hubby can catch on. :)
great topic and i think every girl deserves a little push present! the camera would be quite nice.
I have not experienced this time of life yet but my sister in law got some expensive hand bag that doubles as a diaper bag. It also was partly a bday gift that we helped pitch in for. But it was expensive! I would not mind the same when I have a baby! ;) But I would strongly agree a new camera is a necessary baby item {wink wink}.
