An Inspiration To Me

I seem to complain a lot.
About work, my teething babe, my insane barking dog, chores, etc.

I need to get real.
I ran across Nie Nie Dialogues while I was pregnant and was really into her blog.
But seemed to have not followed or booked marked her and just lost touch.

But I found her blog again through a follower of mine and forgot how much I love her blog.

She put everything into prospective for me.
Why am I complaining about such trivial stupid things.
This mama has had 80% of her body burned.
Hello burned... as in fire burned her skin, her face, her arms, 80% of her body!
She was in an airplane crash with her husband and the pilot.
The pilot did not survive but her and her husband were burned severely.
But they were still alive.

She struggles every day with aches and pains and the thoughts of the dreaded day.
She has true things to complain about.
She has and has to go through several more surgies with more aches and pains all while having 4 children to take care of. And she loves it, she loves being a mother.
And she has one more on the way!

I am over here complaining about work and my fussy baby and things I should be grateful for.
I feel ashamed.
God has truly blessed my life and I know this. But I tend to get wrapped up in the daily trivial tasks and pointless gossip and let downs. This is not ok. I need to change this.
I hope I can learn through Nie Nie to take each day as a gift from God.
I can learn so much from her.
One thing I am going to work on as of right now is to embrace motherhood and each and every second of it. The good, bad and ugly!

One thing I love to see from her posts is her true fired up spirit about God.
She really is so amazing and took a very tragic situation and has made it into a story God would be so inspired by.

Go take a look at her blog.
It's impossible to not be inspired by her.
She makes your heart hurt (in a good way) but all the while making you smile.
Blogging is such an amazing tool, she has touched so many lives and she was able to do that through blogging!
Blogging moms rock!!
I heard she was on Oprah and the Today Show!

I agree. It is hard to not get caught up in our own problems. It does take something else to put everything into perspective. I always remind myself that there are always going to be others better off than us, and always others that are worse off. Right then, when I do get caught up in the complaining, I say a quick prayer for those that are truly struggling. Helps me keep perspective.

Thanks for sharing! You're right, it's easy to get caught up in our own problems and forget that people are out there struggling everyday!

Im def going to check out her blog...its so easy to get caught up in everything in your own life that isnt exactly as you had planned and forget just how wonderful you really have it. I try to remind myself of that daily but often find myself getting caught up in the silliness of small things!!!

I hope you are having a good week!!!
