It's Almost Fall Ya'll

I might be hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year.
Why in the world would I do that you ask?
Because we dont want to travel all over the State of Florida to see everyone.
We prefer to stay put.
Our families are in Tallahassee, Gainesville, and in the middle of no where this year for thanksgiving.

So if Thanksgiving is at our house this year then I need to get on the table decor and figure out how we are going to fit so many people into our house. This shall be very interesting.

I am totally loving this fall table runner found at BHG.
It looks easy enough to make myself.

Found via Flickr

And I have been wanting a fall burlap bunting banner for a while now.
Just the excuse I need to get one :)

I can even add some extra glam to our Thanksgiving by doig some glittered pumpkins!
Loving this idea. Looks totally messy but they turn out so pretty.
I love!!

I did a couple glittered project for C's Birthday Party and we still have glitter lingering in our house.

Of course we need some fall wreaths.
I am liking the first one the best but maybe add some fun fall colored polka dots to the intital like in the photo below.

From this blog

Of course I would need some fun printables too.
Now, I do love me some pinterest and some free stuff but I just might have to contact...

She is not only of the sweetest people but she also creates some amazing printables.
Go check her out will ya :)

And what will I wear to my hosted Thanksgiving you ask?
I know you want to know :)

Here is some inspriation that I am thinking about...

A Bedroom Face Lift

For a while I was saying in my Monthly Goal Posts that I was going to tackle our bedroom and redo it.
Well, I stopped putting that in my goals post because I was just not getting around to it and was sick of making myself feel guilty about it.

But I am back on the bandwagon with it now.
The inspiration is the above bedroom from who else but the amazing Centsational Girl
I actually found this same duvet at Bed Bath and Beyond

Its the one folded at the foot of the bed.
And fell in love with it.
For the longest time I couldn't find anything I liked until I ran across this one.

I was sold.
Now, I can give the room a face lift around it.
I must have that mirror.
Its so stunning.
I ran into Marshall's last week on my lunch break and saw one almost identical to it.
I think I might have to go back and get it.
It makes the room in my opinion.

I also must have this bowl.
I know its something small but look at that print.
Freaking perfection!

I also want to do a slipcover over our headboard.
Something kinda like this...

But in a print that will coordinate with the duvet.
I am really loving chevron print so maybe a chevron??
Might be too busy though?
We shall see.

I ran across this Color Palette Generator
On Serenity Now Blog and think it would be perfect to use in my bedroom face lift.

I can just upload the picture from Centsational Girl's bedroom redo and get my own colors.

You can get the full rundown of how to use the Color Palette Generator from EAK! A House
It looks like you can use it for a number of different project.
Might be a good link to keep handy.

So, in the meantime, I need to order the duvet and get cracking on my bedroom face lift.
I cant wait to see the end result!

Cheers To The Freakin Weekend That Was...

I so needed a break and was so happy it was Friday.
But the weekend came and went already.
What happened to it?
Hello Saturday and Sunday where did you go???
Did you get my permission to leave me?
I think not.

I was actually pretty productive this weekend though.
I cook don't get me wrong but I just don't LOVE to cook.
Ill do it because I have to.
But this past weekend I made a couple of new things.
All inspired from Pinterest.

Take these delicious bacon jalapeno poppers for example.
OMG are they so dang good!
They are so addicting and my new thing.
They are going to be a staple in my house from now on.
You can find the recipe here.
They are super easy and so good.
The perfect appetizer.
You should also poke around From the Aisle to Aloha's blog while you are there.
Super cute blog!

I also made this.
and OMMMMGGGG is this cake maybe not the best thing I have made in a while.
It will also be my fall back yummy delicious dessert to bring to parties.
Now, it may add five pounds per slice to your arse but its totally worth it.
I cant wait until lunch time to have a slice.

Next up on the list for this week's meals are...

Monday Night (and hopefully have lots of left overs for the week)
Found here
I'll probably make some green beans to go with it.

Wednesday Night

       Slow Cooker Jambalaya
Found here.
My husband and I love Jambalaya so hopefully this will be a winner of a recipe.

Again not a big fan of cooking but all these delicious recipes might just force me into being a good cook. I love to try new things, hate cooking the same boring things.

Go check out my Pinterest food section for some inspiration for your meals.
There are a lot more desserts then actual dinner items.
This mama loves her sweets.

Won't Ya Join Us

I recently ran across Knee-Deep in Munchkin Land through Twitter.
I was having an issue with my blog design and was told to contact her.
So I did, Ms. Jenn and Becky helped me fix my issue.
Thanks again girls :)

But anyways,
I have been thinking about trying to do put together some sort of blogging devotional group but just have not sat down to figure it all out. Well, Ms. Jenn tweeted about one and I hoped on it. I am super excited to get started.

We are going to be reading Sacred Marriage.

Your marriage is more than a sacred covenant with another person. It is a spiritual discipline designed to help you know God better, trust him more fully, and love him more deeply… Scores of books have been written that offer guidance for building the marriage of your dreams. But what if God’s primary intent for your marriage isn’t to make you happy… but holy? And what if your relationship isn’t as much about you and your spouse as it is about you and God?

You can buy it from Amazon.

•We’re going to read one chapter every two weeks. This book has 13 chapters, so we’re looking at 26 weeks or 6 months. That’s a long time, and I certainly understand if its too much of a commitment at this time.

•Every other Tuesday we’ll post our thoughts on the chapter, and link back on this blog so we can all read each other’s posts.

•The following Thursday, we’ll hold a discussion about the chapter on Twitter.

•Jenn will also be creating a private Facebook page so we can interact there too, as well as share prayer requests.

If you’re interested in joining us on this adventure, please do the following.
1.Buy a copy of the Sacred Marriage by Gary Thomas.
2.Either leave a comment on this post, or send me a private email at biggest_blessings (at) yahoo (dot) com. In the comment or email, please give me your name, email address, and/or Twitter handle.

3.Have the 1st chapter read and your thoughts ready to post about by Tuesday, September 13th.

Now, if you are interested in joining please contact Jenn and let her know so that she can get you set up. Hope to hear from you soon. Cant wait to read everyone thoughts and comments on the book.

Seriously Thursday

1. Seriously...did I really lose 2 followers overnight. Am I really that boring?! Wow! I am trying to amp up my blog and writings but with working full time its hard to do it all.

2. Seriously...I wish I could find a job where I could just blog all day! I love it so much but just can't find the time I would like for it. I want to comment on every one's blogs but just cant :( So if ya hear of any let me know :)

3. Seriously...C and I went to a 2 year old birthday party for one of my best friends little girl. It was seriously such a cute party. I was shocked how much fun C had. Seriously...look how darn cute! And yes, it looked like Pinterest threw up all over, but I LOVED IT! Gotta love Pinterest!

Sorry the pics aren't the greatest. I was holding C in one arm and taking pics on my phone with the other.

4. Seriously...this is our new battle with C. The wine glass. He wants it, and wants it baaaddd. He is eyeing our glass and trying to figure out how he can get it.

Baaawwwhahaha. Sorry C but you can't out smart this mommy...yet.

5. Seriously...I had my first macaroon on my girls weekend away the other weekend. And why do they keep saying macaroons are the new cupcakes? I don't get it. I totally do not agree. They weren't that flavorful and I was not impressed. I love me some cupcakes.

But they sure are pretty aren't they?

Speaking of yummies.
Check this out..

Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.
OMG it was heavenly. I keep dreaming about it.
Good thing the closest CF is about 30 mins away and over the bridge.
Freaking Yum!

Now, tell me your "seriously!" moments and go link up with From Mrs. To Mama

Notice Anything New?

This lady has some new fancy buttons!
And Moxie Tonic helped me do it!
She totally rocks.
I got 4 buttons for $1.00.
Yeah you heard right. 4 buttons!
And she has quite a big selections of fonts and colors.
She was totally great to work with and helped me out so much on the installation.

I have become obsessed with keeping linked in to the social media world and totally loving my new buttons to help others do the same.

Please hop on by to my Facebook Fan Page and Pinterest to say heeeyyy!
I love some FB and Pinning lovin.

Oh and I also got me some of those amazingly gorgeous Minted business cards.
I mean how can you not?!
25 cards for just shipping!
Score.

Here is the one I selected.

Did you get your Minted cards?
If so which ones did you get?
It was super hard to pick which ones because all of them are so gorg!

Work Etiquette

This is not my office.
I just thought it was pretty.

This post is going to be very harsh but as a working mother its just how I feel.
Just thought I would put that out there first.

So, lets just say its a Monday morning (or anymore really).
But Monday's are particularly lovely aren't they?....
This mama has been up since six already.
I understand that a lot of people (at least in my office) get up 30 mins before they are supposed to be at work to just drive to work, they look like a dang hot mess when they get here and its questionable if they even looked in the mirror before they left their house.
Ok, fine, that is there life but not mine.
So, yes, back to being up since 6AM.
I have already completed a whole freakin lot since six.
Including... getting myself ready, a baby ready, feeding my baby, packing up a lunch for myself, packing up a diaper bag, taking a babe to day care, driving to work, and everything else in between.

All I want to do when I get to work is work.
IN SILENCE.
Is that such a big deal?!
I get here before everyone else so I can do what I need to do.
So when everyone else comes in I can already be a head start.
Because at my office once even one person comes in I feel like I get no work done.
They start in on me immediately.
I try to look busy, that doesn't seem to work, so maybe I make some calls, nope still doesn't work.

Why do people feel like they need to tell me about their whole weekend first thing in the morning.
I am just trying to unwind from my crazy morning. Again since I have already completed more then they will   all day.
And all I want is SILENCE.
To just hear the AC, slurping of coffee and the tapping of my keyboard.

Now, I would love to tell everyone in my office about all the cute little things C did the whole entire weekend.
But do they want to hear that?
Probably NOT.
So I don't say anything.
They have their own lives and things to worry and care about.
I know how cute C is I don't have to tell everyone else.
Take one look, you can see for yourself. :)
I feel like if they want to know anything about him they will ask.
And then I will tell them my stories.
But only if they ask.

So, on that note, why do I want to hear about your teenage kids and their doctor appointments or school or other people in their family that I don't even know.
I know it sounds bad but there is a time and place for all the stories.
And it certainly is NOT AT 8AM or anytime before noon really.
I just want to do what I'm at work to do.
WORK.
Is that so crazy?

I am not saying I don't goof off at work from time to time and I do like to hear about my coworkers lives but especially NOT at 8AM or when I am in the middle of doing something and its very clear.

So please exercise some work etiquette and only talk about your children when asked.
Of course you can tell a story here and there but you are at work TO WORK.

That is my public service announcement for the month.
Again its harsh but this mama has stuff to do and lots on her mind.

Second Quarter {Game Day}

Since I already posted some cute outfit ideas for the big FSU v. UF game,
I thought I would post some for those other teams out there.

I love Alabama's colors.
So classic and pretty.
Look how dang cute that elephant necklace is.
I think if I was a Bama fan I would have to have that.
But of course I'm not. GO NOLES!

To me this looks super comfy and easy.
You most likely already have some sort of this combination in your closet.

Love this!
Even thought this really isn't my style, its so easy and trendy.
I wish I was tall and skinny to be able to pull off that shirt with the skinny jeans.
But I'm not :( I'm short and not a stick.

Here are a bunch of different team dresses.
All of them are so pretty and perfect for game day as well as other occasions.

Now I just thought these cookies were fun for game day.
I am sure they would take FOREVER to make.
But super cute and you can coordinate them with your team colors.
So cute I wouldn't want to eat them.

And even thought this is a Gator wreath it is so cute!!!
I think I could make one of these in FSU colors what do you think?
I would just probably have to go to the scrapbooking store to get an F,S, and U die cut.
Hmmm another craft added to my list.
Darn you Pinterest!

All of the above photos were found on Pinterest

Game Day {FSU v. UF}

Yes this is absolutely true.
This game is huge in Florida.
This game is huge in our family.
And I love it!
Whether FSU wins or loses its still such a huge rivalry that everyone is pumped.
This year the game is at the Swamp.

Now, let me be perfectly clear.
I do not know a lot about football.
I get the gist of it but don't know a lot of the rules and blah blah blah.

But what I do love is to get dressed up for the games.
It totally gives you a reason to put on your party game day dress
and have an excuse why you are acting like you are still in college and getting stupidly drunk
all while playing a**hole, ring of fire, and other intoxicating card games you played in college
Ahhhh yes, I love game day.

So, in celebration of the upcoming season I thought I would show you some of my fav game day gear for the big FSU v. UF game.

This would be for the "coolish" night game.
Because lets me honest if anyone wore this to a day game they would be miserable.
Plus night games can be a little more dressy and then you could go out in it later and party it up.

I think this would be super cute paired with some wedges and a big clutch.
Possibly a gold clutch.

And look at this beauty.
If you have not seen her dresses you need to do your research.
Because they are the cutest!!
You will be every girls envy with one of these dresses.
I promise.

This is just an idea of her adorable dresses.
She creates all different color schemes and teams.
Love them!!

Ok now on to the ugly orange and blue (sorry I had to).
I was brainwashed at a very young age to hate the gators.
And yes, to this day I still hate the gators.

But I must say, there are so dang cute dresses out there for UF games.
Totally not fair.

How is it that FSU has such pretty colors but such a crappy selection.
Hate that!

Now here are some super cute Natalie Kim UF dresses.
Could they be any cuter?
I think not.

So, what are your must haves for game day?
Don't forget your water and sunblock.
Gotta play it safe girls.
