Yookidoo {Bath Time}

Let me tell you this....
C loves his baths.
I think he would stay in there all day if I would let him.
When I get him out he is already a wrinkly prune and he loves it.
Now I just need to teach him to stop standing up in the tub.
That is our latest battle and let me tell you its oh so much fun.
Luckily we have only had one bloody lip and it wasn't too bad no looking back on the situation. Of course at the time I was a crazy wackadoo mom freaking out. But I just don't want to see my sweet face hurt.
He will not listen. You mama's got any tips for me on this??

His ultimate fav. bath toy is his Yookidoo

This thing is so fun I even like to play with it.
It's battery operated and suctions to the back of the tub.
You press the cute little scuba masked face and water comes out of the sprout.
The snorkel rotates and you can fill up all the different cups with the water.
There is one cup that rises when there is too much water and its little eyes peep up, one is a sifter, and one has a wheel that spins.
He could play with this thing for hours.

So, if you are looking for a good one year gift this is it.

Isn't it so cute:)
This toy is handpicked and approved by C!

Latest Obsession {Bracelet Stacking}

Hi my name is Cheryl, and I have an obsession with stacking bracelets!
I CAN NOT GET ENOUGH.

I love this trend!
Just love it!

Oh hello you pop of pink you.
I adore you.

Oh and you orange leather wrist band.
I must have you.
That is all.

Ugh. This is one of my favs.
Gold, gold and more gold!

I actually personally stack all my different silvers together.
I have two different sized silver ball bracelets a thin curvy one, my Tiffany's bracelet, and my huge blinged out watch. This is my fav combination and wear it practically every day.

Gold is so timeless and classic.
I think that is going to be on my must have list next.
Oh, and alongside with this big zipped bag.
Gorgeous.
Practical...probably not, but gorgeous.
Pretty pink Boho Chic look.

Ok and some cupcakes.
I love cupcakes and fun bangels so this pic is perfection to me.

What are you thinking of the new bracelet/bangel trend?
Are you loving them as much as me?

Sacred Marriage {Chapter 2}

I am linking up with Jenn over at Knee Deep in Munchkin Land to discuss my thoughts on Chapter 2 of the Sacred Marriage book club we are doing.
If my post or this book sounds interesting to you jump on the bandwagon we would love to have you.

First of all this Chapter was way better then Chapter 1.
I even got out of my Erin Condren Life Planner to take notes down in.
I found so many great passages and ideas that I had to write them all down to keep in mind for this post and my life in general.

So onto these passages and ideas...

Idea-Gary Thomas thinks that God wants us to be fueled to love him through love and intimacy and not simply by our self motivated fear.

First of all, wow, wow, wow.
I love this. It really got me thinking.
Am I following and loving God because I am "scared"?
Scared of going to hell?
Scared of the worldly view of what it means to not follow God?
Or am I following God because I want to do the right thing and live a good and descent life?
But is that even good enough?
I need to love and follow God because I am being obedient to him and love him and want to follow in his footsteps because he is so powerful and amazing.

This verse in Hosea 2:16,19a  goes with this thinking and the book based on marriage

Hosea 2:16,19a
"In that day, declares the Lord, you will call me "my husband", you will no longer call me "my master"...I will betroth you to me forever."

Think about this...
We love our husbands because we love him as the person he is.
He is our best friend, our everything to us.
God wants us to think of him in that respect.
He wants us to love him because of simply love itself, not because of an outside fear.
I never thought of it that way before.
Very simple idea and true.

Another point Gary made is that there are two ways to live out your marriage.
1. Man-maintain out marriage as long as our earthly comforts and desires and expectations are met.
2. God-we preserve our marriage because it brings us glory to God

This is another idea that was mind blowing to me.
I never thought of marriage in this light before.
It is so easy to get caught up in your daily life and not to live and nourish your marriage the Godly way.
I must say I do this.
Its not right but I do get caught up in my wake up, get C ready, go to work, work, come home relax and do it over again. Its hard. But that's not an excuse.
Like Nike says "just do it"
Just make time for God and your marriage.
Why not it wont hurt anything.
It will actually make him so happy.
And I will become happier in my own life and my marriage.
So, Just Do It!
Why wouldn't I want to be happier in my own life?
Sounds like a no brainer idea.

And lastly a point he made was that I need to live out all of this I am blogging about in my own personal life
Just because I type it and think it that wont do anything.
I need to live it!!

I am the more spiritual one in our family and feel that if I maybe take that first step and make the initiative then maybe he will fall in my footsteps. I need to "just do it" and "live it"!

Cant wait to read all ya'lls posts:)
Don't forget the Facebook chat is this Thursday.

Why? {A little TMI}

Lets talk about that time of the month shall we?

Pre C that time of the month was not bad for me at all.
Maybe I got a little moody (hubs would probably call me a crazy emotional bi*c* hubs would totally agree with that statement)  and emotional but that was really it. I personally didn't think I had it that bad.

But now?! Holy smokes I want to rip out my ut.
And, it goes on for two long painful weeks.
Why? Why after having a painful child birth did God do this to me?
Was it not enough that my freaking epidural didn't work
and that I pretty much mentally checked out from all the pain??
And that I had the pain from the C section too?
Guess not.
I don't understand?
What happened from Pre C until now?
Is it my uterus, hormones, or just my crazy imagination or just for the heck of it?
I really really really do not get it and want it to stop now!!

Pre C I did not get cravings around my period time.
Not really even chocolate.

But now, for two whole weeks I am an eating machine.
All I can think about is salt.
Salt, salt and more freaking salt being poured in my mouth.
Love salt!

These are my favs.
Kinda sad to say that I bought a bag of these this morning and they are almost gone.
Its only 1:30.
What is my problem?
I cant get enough!!!

And don't think I don't want chocolate either because I do.
I have a sleeve of these puppies in my drawer.

Totally not the healthiest of options but oh well I could care less.
Sounds bad but its true.
I will gladly take on the extra poundage during that time of the month just to keep me sane.

Oh, and don't forget the wine when I get home from work.
That is another must.
But not really sure that that is totally period related.

Oh, and to mention my lovely mood.
I can seem to control it at home but at work I am a flying batty witch I swear.
In a blink of an eye I will get all ghetto on you including hips and pointer fingers being thrown around.
And this all lasts for 2 weeks.
Rock on!

Do you girls have this problem?
Or is it just me and my lovely body?
I need some remedies please.
My body prefers something that doesn't require an ocean of salt.

Fav Places to Shop

Today I am linking up with Kelly's Korner.
Her link up is about one of my favorite things.
CLOTHES!!
She wants to know where our favorite places to show are.

Well, it is known amoung my family and friends that I love Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft. I am a huge fanatic!!

My fav is the Loft because it is more affordable.

Lets take a look at some of my fall favs at LOFT shall we...

Cute! I could totally dress this up or down.
Wear to work and also on the weekends with C and the fam.

I am really into the tunic thing this fall and think this is a great look.

I am totally not a jacket person because, well, I live in Florida and we don't wear them that often and when we do I hate them. However, this jacket is ADORABLE. I think I could manage wearing this cutie.

This dress is pure perfection.
Including the color and that is a shift.
I love shift dresses.
They are so easy and comfortable to wear.
And paired with some tights its perfect for a Florida fall.

Now another fav place of mine to get basic T's are Old Navy.
I wear a lot of plain tees and accessorize them.
Target also is a great spot for plain T's.

The thing you have to keep an eye on is that ON tees shrink.
So I always get the bigger size.

Aren't these T's perfect for fall!

I also like to get my shoes from TJ Maxx and Loft. I wear mainly flats now and they have some really cute ones. So go check both of those stores out if you are on the hunt for flats.

As for accessories, I am all over the place with this one.
I normally wear my stud diamond earrings with some stacking bracelets that I have gotten from all over the place including, Nordstroms, Forever 21, Macy's, etc.

And as far as my bags go. I will not be getting a new one for fall but will be pairing these looks with my LV Damier bag and my new Kate Spade.

This one but in black.

I cant wait to see where everyone else shops.
Maybe it will make me expand my fashion horizons a little.
Hold on to the credit card hubs.
This mama might be in trouble :)

A Peek Into My 2nd Life

I feel like I have 2 lives.
My work life and my real at home life.
I like my real life a lot better I must say.

And I do have 2 babies in my life.
My real baby C {he is the cute one} and my work baby...my boss.

Here is a typical day for me at my 2nd life.
Feet up and all.
Wish I could have snuck in a nap.

I gotta have my huge water bottle with me and my Erin Condren Life Planner.
I use my planner to jot down all the ideas that pop into my head throughout the day and chores I need to do in my real life. Ya know like vacuum, laundry, get that blood out of the towel that I was supposed to do Tuesday. Whoops.

I didn't show you my snack drawer.
It is actually embarrassing with all the crap/junk food in it.
Ill keep that to myself thank you very much.

And you all know I'm already a mama but I'm called a "Paralegal" here at work.
See my lovely certificate.
Woot woot, watch out now. I might go all legal on ya.
No, no I wont.
And see all my lovely files.
Ugh. And that is just one section of my cube.

And this is my fun little corner.
It adds a pop of color to my dreary disgusting cubicle.
Oh yeah, didn't I mention I live in a 5 X 5 cubicle at work.
And...with no door.
Hate that! I want my privacy.
Ya know to blog and online shop.

And more files.
And yes that is toilet paper you see.
Sometimes they run out and I do not want to get caught in a situation.
So I stash some.

So, here is my 2nd life.
So glamorous you are jealous I know, I know.

How Does Dexter Do it?

Yes, this Dexter, the serial killer.
I mean how does he do it??

What I'm asking is...
How does he do his laundry and get all those blood stains out of his clothes?
Maybe he just throws them right in the ocean with his victims????
Or what I like to think is that he oh so tediously washes them by hand with some special concoction he has made up and is not just sharing with the mommy world.

Come on Dexter share your secret!

So while I am sitting there watching C with my own two eyes he decides to stand up (which he knows better because I have told him NO a million times) and then slips and falls and his little tooth jabbed his lip. He was crying hysterically while I was freaking out and snatched him out of the tub while making some crazy noise that I don't even really remember making, and just holding my sweet C in the towel . He was so sad and scared. And so was I. My poor little C.

Well everything finally calmed down but now I have blood all over my towel from his little mouth. How in the world do I get blood out of a towel??

I hopped onto google after he went to sleep to find that...

1. Wash it out with COLD WATER NEVER USE HOT WATER because it will cause it to set in.

2. Rub soap or shampoo onto the spots until you work up a good lather.

3. Scrub the area like a maniac.

4. Rinse back in COLD WATER until its gone.

5. If the area is still tinted with the blood then pour some ammonia straight onto the spot. It should not hurt the fabric.

Tip: Make sure you get to the spot before it dries or it will set.

So, now you know how to get blood out of stuff.
Great tip to know for us mama...especially for us Mamas with boys because I have a little feeling I will be having to do this more then once in my life.

Let Me Be Real With Ya

I want to give 100% to my marriage, my family, God, my job, etc.
I strive to do my best in all aspects of my life.
But boy is that all a huge job in itself!

Let me be real because I do not give 100%, I get home from work and am stinking exhausted.
Exhausted because I didn't get enough sleep (I need about 9-10 hours to feel my best and function appropriately), exhausted because I woke up at 6:00 AM to start my day, exhausted because I am not mentally all there for my job, exhausted from working a full day, and exhausted from my guilt.

I want to pop right out of bed and get my day started, drop off C at day care, go to work and love every second of it and more importantly to me, have the time and energy for my family.
I want to come home from work and play with C, cook him a nice and healthy dinner, then cook the husband and myself a nice meal, clean up the kitchen and then start on household chores.

But do I do this?
Not really.

I do try and make an effort to play with C and be there for him because I think he deserves it, deserves my attention and love. He gets semi healthy meals with some Einstein watching.
But the problem is...My husband deserves my attention too.

Look at my sweet family, don't they look like they deserve all of me. Not just what I feel like giving that day.
Image via Cannonfire Photography

I want to cook a healthy and gourmet meal for him because I know he loves that.
But I am just so tired and really don't feel like it.

I want to have the house clean for the most part and still have time for my husband and even things I like to do, like blog for example. How do people get all this done when they get off work? Is it because I go to bed early, between 9-10 and other people stay up later to make all this possible? That is the only thinking I can think of, of why I can seem to get everything done.

Please help me girls and tell me how you "do it all" because this girl is struggling.

Birthday Week {Breakfast at Toast}

I am linking up with Danielle at Breakfast at Toast
and
where they are celebrating their Birthday Week.
How fun is that?!
I just love this!
They asked to post about your favorite birthday gifts and a million different things ran through my mind and I picked my top 6.

1. Monogram Travel Mug from Monogram Chick
And to add a special touch maybe add in a Starbucks gift card or some Via (my fav recently)
2. Cupcakes! Who does not love cupcakes and especially on your Birthday!
Getting them delivered to the office would make your special gal pal feel extra special too.
3. Lets be honest here, how about Erin Condren ANYTHING. But, I purchased her life planner a couple of months ago and am soooo organized its crazy. I love it! I am sure your girlfriend would like to be as organized and on top of things as you so why not help a sista out?!
4. Kendra Scott earrings. What birthday girl wouldn't want these beauties? I know I would...hint hint.
5. Philosophy Birthday Cake body wash. With all that eating of birthday cake the Birthday girl can have a calorie free treat to herself. Yum!! This is perfect for a coworker and just someone you want to get something for but aren't sure what.
6. Oh and my favorite, the Hobo Lauren Clutch. This pretty lady will not only keep the birthday girl organized but also stylish on a night out on the town. One of my favs to give as gifts.
Well thank you girls for doing such a fun link up. I had a blast putting together my gift guide.
Hope you have a fabulous birthday girls :)
