Oh How Pinterest-ing {Link Up}

google

Oh a link up after my own heart!
Come join us over at The Vintage Apple.

Hi, my name is Cher and I am completely and totally obsessed with Pinterest.
Yes, I am a Pinterest addict!

Whew, there I said it!
And I am not going to do a dang thing about it.
I am just going to keep on pinning and no one can stop me!
Bawwwhahaha

Decorating for Christmas has been on my mind a lot lately but I decided to switch gears and do a more fun post.
My other love, fashion.
So here are some of my fav outfits, shoes, and accessories.

I am totally not a boot person.
I love them on everyone else but not on me.
I think its because I am very short and feel like they make me look ever shorter.
Is that stupid??
Am I just being weird about this whole boot thing??

Again with the boots!
Love 'em!!

Do you see a trend here...
Loving the gold.

These Stella & Dot Bracelets are the perfect pop of color.

Simple and pretty.

Oh I would love to have this under the tree.

And these would look nice with my gold sparkly clutch.
Ya hear me Santa?!

A Christmas Prob.

Fa-la-la-la
Why is it that when you have your Christmas list all spelled out that you get side tracked by all the Holiday pretties.
Seriously all the holiday ahmazing-ness gets me every single year.
Everything is just so much prettier and more spectacular than any other time of the year.
Its truly not fair to do to my poor credit card.

I have had my list done for at least a month.
Yeah, I'm crazy like that.
If I don't do this then I get sucked in by all amazing Christmas sparkle and dazzle.
Oh, and the sales, with Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
All my money for Christmas prezzies for others go flying off my debit card in a blink of Santa's eye.
Even with my list done early and a strict talk to myself I still went a bit crazy with all the sales.
But shhh don't tell anyone.
I like to tell myself they are gifts to myself for being such a good wife, mom, worker, ya know.
I gotta tell myself something to make it ok for dropping all that cash money.
Not sure how I'm going to explain those Ann Taylor and Aldo boxes arriving at our front door, but ill think of something good.
Ugh better luck next year I guess...

I love this Crazy B!

I love a good sale.
Not to the extent of crazy as* Black Friday get up at 4:00 a.m.
pump my veins with coffee, pop some tooth picks in my eye lids and hit up the stores, then only to crash hours later.
No thanks.
Getting up at 6:00 a.m. with a baby is painful enough.
Mama needs her sleep.

This "B" is crazy!
And I love it!
If I wasn't obsessed with my sleep I would be next to crazy Target lady pumpin those red baskets getting ready for the biggest shopping day of the year.
However, I am.
I am obsessed with my sleep.
Very obsessed.

So this mama did not hit up the Black Friday sales.
Needless to say.
So, on this Cyber Monday I am planning on hittin up some
Aldo for these babies

And maybe some beautiful earrings from this lovely lady...

and I will of course be hitting up my favs, Ann Taylor and LOFT.

Oh and this puppy for work...fun huh?!

Eeeekkk Christmas is almost here!
Yay! Yay! Yay!

Your kids will go ga ga over this one!! I promise!

Thanksgiving Style {Per Schue Love}

Hi Friends!  I'm Natasha from Schue Love and I am thrilled to be taking over Chery's blog today!  I adore her style, sense of humor and gorgeous little family...so it's quite an honor for me!  :)

Like all of you, I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving and have been thinking about what the perfect outfit would look like!  Whether you're hosting at home, visiting family, or going out for Thanksgiving, it's always nice to think up a special outfit for the occasion.

Thanksgiving

This is my ideal outfit for Thanksgiving!  I love the mix of patterns and fabrics!  Of course gold accents always add the perfect touch of elegance too!

I tried to be price conscious when putting this look together...after all-Christmas is right around the corner!  All of these items are under $100, except for two...sometimes it's worth the little extra!

First, I adore this top and skirt combo.  The blouse effect on the top makes it feel a little more festive and the Top Shop skirt is the perfect tweed for fall.

The {faux} leather jacket is a total steal at just $40!  I have a similar jacket from Target and love it!  It's super versatile and practical for this time of year.

Of course I love gold accents and this Kate Spade bangle and bow earrings are just the right detail.  I love anything and everything bow this season, so these are super fun!  The H&M clutch is also a classic!

My two splurges are the Tory Burch booties and J.Crew necklace.  While more pricey, both are classics that you will have forever.  And I feel that while you may spend more on the boots...your feet and back will ultimately thank you for the quality that comes along with shoes like these.

So tell me...are you dressing up this Thanksgiving!  I hope this helped to inspire you!  :)

Thanks to Cheryl for having me today!

Create Your Own Santa Video {Giveaway}

Remember how in my post seen here I said that I wasn't going to participate in any Pre-Christmas fun before Thanksgiving was over.

So here goes girls...
This giveaway is proof that Santa really visited your house.
Your children will go crazy over this video.

To Go

As you know I work full time.
So once I get home all I really want to do is just sit down and play with my sweet face and have some wine.
I don't want to cook dinner.
No thanks.

So needless to say I love To Go food!
Love by meaning I could eat out every single day of the week if I could.
And if the hubs would go with it.
Not realistic and not the healthiest but I am freaking exhausted by the time I get home.

Pei Wei is one of our favorites.
To be exact it is my husbands must have Sunday dinner.
We get it every single Sunday.

If you have never heard of Pei Wie its a "fast food" PF Changs.
And its freaking delicious!

Our favs are the Kung Pow Chicken, Pad Tai and Lettuce Wraps.
But everything on the menu is outstanding.
If you like spicy ask for the Chili Paste.
It packs a nice kick.
Oh and its paired lovely with a red wine.
But I think I say that about anything.

My other fav is Moe's
Of course because its Mexican!

The meals come with chips and salsa!
It's Moe Mondays and for $5.99 you get a meal with chips and a drink.
All the ingredients are fresh and its somewhat of a healthy meal.
Until you start adding the gobs of melty queso.

I was addicted to their burritos when I was pregnant and the addiction has NOT STOPPED.
It's bad.
I think about their burritos practically every day.
I think they put drugs in their burritos.
I am shocked that C didn't come out as a little burrito I ate so many...seriously.

BBQ is where its at (besides Mexican food that is)
Sonny's has a drive thru.
Perfection.
Mama doesn't even have to get out of her car after a longs day at work.

I have never ever had a bad meal there.
There sauces are drinkalicious!
I would drink the sauce if it was socially acceptable.

Publix.
I swear I live at my job and Publix.
When I want a quick meal I grab their subs.

Cubans.
With tons of cheese and jalapenos.
Mama likes it hot!

So where do you like to grab a quick bite for your family?
I need some new suggestions...

Get outta those diapers and into some big boy undies.
First up is the book.
Ill keep you posted how this whole potty thing goes.

I have to make a brocolli casserole along but that delicious butter cake.

I Survived My Parent's 1st Year

This is not C.
However it might as well be.
His little shirt reads " I survived my Parents First Year"

It's true.
I have no idea what I'm doing.
I fly by the seat of my pants.
I have never done this before therefore I am brand new at this.
Just like C.
He is new at life, I'm new at this parenting thing.

I tend to think that all these other young moms around me know more about parenting then I do.
But why?
They are new like me.
Most seem like they have this parenting thing down and know what to do and when to do it.
Me, ummm not so much.
I feel like I just do it when it needs to be done.
I'm not sure if I can even explaining my parenting skills.
I will be the first to admit that I have no clue what I'm doing.
It drives me nuts when these moms act like they are pros with the first child.
Ugh it just irritates the ish outta me.

I will bust out the snacks at the store/restaurant/home when C gets fussy.
I will whip out the iPad with an Elmo's World faster then you can say the word WHINE.
I do keep a bink in my purse for emergency's, even though we are trying to wean him off of the crack the bink.
I will drop a song and dance in the middle of the grocery store to just get a giggle or smile out of that sweet little face of mine.
I do keep toys and Baby Einstein CD's in the car to prevent any melt downs. (as I'm writing this I don't remember the last time I actually listened to my own music...huh...must resolve that)

I do all these things.
I don't think they make me a bad parent.
I think it makes us tick and work and everyone stay happy.
I love being a parent but boy oh boy is it hard sometimes.

I need to stop thinking all these other young moms know what they are doing and have all the answers.
Because they don't.
They are telling me what works for them.
Which is fine.
I am open to their advice.
But they all seem to answer me so matter of factly it drives me nuts sometimes.
But by no means does what they are telling me mean its going to work for C.
9 times out of 10 it probably wont.

If I went around telling all these young moms what we did for C to sleep through the night is a cure all to their problems, they would probably be super pissed when it didn't work for them.
We just have a great baby that loves to sleep.
THANK THE LORD!

So young moms out there who are with me on this post.
Who are going day by day, step by step, phase by phase this post is for you!

Tiny Prints Christmas Cards {swoon}

So you see, I am a bit of a stationary junkie.
By junkie I mean I can not just have any old Christmas card.
I search and search for the perfect card that screams the E family.
Now I know I mentioned I was not going to focus on Christmas before Thanksgiving was over, but I am a planner, like to T, everything in our home is done months in advance and Christmas cards are no exception. So I'm just planning not partaking.
Get it?!

And Tiny Prints has so many "E family" Christmas styles that I can't seem to narrow it down to just one.
I need your help and also tell me the ones you are diggin because I could have overlooked one by mistake.
We certainly don't want that.
Look how fun this is!
I am loving the fun pops of color.
This is very fun E family-ish.
We are very fun.
In case you were wondering :)

But in all actuality I don't think I can get Mr. C to sit still long enough to get 3 good enough pics.
We shall see how that goes.

This is oh so Cheryl.
Love this one.

Again super fun!
I am thinking a pic in the park or something.

This is screaming "our family has a boy" and I love this about this card.
Because boys rock!

My fav thing about this card is the gray.
It totally makes the colors pop.
Probably my favorite so far.

And this is for the card that I cant seem to pick which pics I like because I have too many that are amazing.
It happens, especially with the help of a professional photog.

Ok so tell me which Tiny Prints cards are your fav?
Also, how do you hang your Christmas cards?
I have a wire hanger specifically for cards and pics that I use throughout the year and for Christmas I remove everything from throughout the year and use it for just Christmas.
It makes for a fun pop of the holidays in our home.

Fluffy

Welcome to my fluffy post.
C does not have day care and im working a half day today.
So needless to say I dont have a lot of down time.
So please welcome my fluff.

Guilty Pleasure?

Well besides my ridiculous trashy TV shows like Gossip Girl, 90210, and any Real Housewives I would have to say cupcakes. I love cupcakes!!!

I can't travel without?

My zyrtec (lame-o) huh. I have awful allergies and need that relief right then.
Zyrtec to the rescue.
I also can not travel without coffee.
If I am going somewhere where I think they may not have coffee I will bring my own VIA's.
Thank you Lis over at Beach Bum and Baby for introducing these to me.

Recent Splurge?

My Louis Vuitton-Neverfull

My go-to flower?

I don't have one.
Should I have one?
Whenever I need flowers for an event or something special I call up my mom and we go to the wholesale florist and score some for super cheap.
Its very handy having an interior decorator as a mom.

In bulk, I buy?

Face Wash for me, Soap, Diapers, Wipes, and now those Happy Baby/Toddler pouches

I sleep on?

A foan mattress and pillow.
It is the most crazy comforatble thing EVER.

Let's Celebrate One at a Time

I love Christmas, don't get me wrong.
Obviously with my two Christmas posts this week I have a slight obsession with Christmas.
However, lets freaking celebrate one holiday at a time ya'll.
Whatever happened to celebrating THANKSGIVING.

Thanksgiving should be about being THANKFUL for the people in your life.
It seems like society and stores want us to completely overlook all this
and make it all about Christmas and THINGS.
By putting up the Christmas tree and decor in the stores so early it
makes you jaded come Christmas and forget the real meaning of it.
You know about the birth of JESUS.
That's the real meaning of Christmas.
Not getting THINGS.
THINGS that you can't take with you to heaven.

So, I, Cheryl will not be jaded this year.
I will remember the real meaning of Christmas.
I will not put up my tree until AFTER THANKSGIVING.
Even though I am crazy tempted to right now.
No Christmas music will be played until AFTER THANKSGIVING.
Now, I might not be able to resist some apple cider or peppermint anything.
But I think I'm doing pretty good with all the other stuff.

Babymoon

So tell me...did you babymoon?

We did!
I have a thing for vacations.
As in I get the vaction itch every 3 months.
Every 3 months on the dot.
And just because I was pregnant that did not change a thing.
Babymoon here we come!

But when you get the vacation itch every 3 months like me, it makes for a very expensive itch.
So instead of doing traveling very far we decided to stay locally, as in about a 3-4 hour drive.
We went to Marco Island (in Florida) when I was about 7 months PG.
I am very much a pool, do nothing all day, tropical, carribean type of girl.
So a pool and non-alocholic fun yummy drinks were on the must have list.
Oh and Mexican food.
Because im pregnant remember and this pregnant chick had to have her Mexican food.

We stayed at a gorgeous hotel on the beach with a pool.
I stocked up on my trashy magazines, put on my two piece suit (yeah I was that pregnant chick wearing a 2 piece), lathered my big belly up with some sun tan lotion and laid out.
It was pure perfection. I actually want to go back right now.
After I got too hot from laying out I ploped myself up at the bar to enjoy some yummy non-alocholic drinks.
I got some stares (mainly from the hubs) but I didnt care.
This was the life and I was going to enjoy it.
Because in 2 months I would not get to do this again for a very long time.
After a day of laying out we hit up some shopping, Mexican food and ice cream!!
I loved our mini babymoon.

Now, tell me...did you babymoon?
If so where did you go?
What type of babymooner are you?
Do you look tropical or the cold?
Relax and do nothing or have an itnerary?

The above baby picture is from Elise Kersey Photography
