My Friday's Fancies::Date Night::

Date Night

I love date night.
The hubs and I work so hard during the week
that we like to enjoy each other over a lovely dinner and some beautiful wine.
We would love to make date night a weekly thing but with a sweet face, it's hard to do.

I of course I find it so fun to get dressed up for date night.
I don't go all out, just some nice jeans paired with a pretty blouse and some bangin shoes.
Heels always make me feel like a girly girl.
They complete my outfit.

Make up is another thing I am into.
I wish I had more time to sit down to do a smokey eye like the one above.
It is simply beautiful and adds such a punch to an outfit.

What is your favorite piece to wear out on a date night to make you feel special and pretty?

Please hop on over to check out my guest post at Teetheme.
I am talking Mommy Fashion 101.

Product of the Week ::SUGAR Lip Treatment::

My Product of the Week is

SUGAR lip treatment in Rose.
Forget all those other lip glosses and lipsticks I have.
This is now my go to product.

You can get it at Sephora.
This product is a hydrating treatment that nourishes, protects and plumps the lip.
It even has an SPF in it.

It comes in several different shades as seen below.

I have the HONEY and ROSE.
The ROSE is my favorite because it gives off the perfect amount of color
I need for an everyday lip product.

Next time you are in Sephora check it out.
It is defiantly my new beauty must have.

To Party or Not To Party?

You see, I love a good party!
 I mean who doesn't right?
I love the whole party planning process.

So, the question is...
To Party or Not To Party?
I am talking about a 2nd Birthday party for my sweet face.
I have so many ideas whirling around in my head.
I have known the theme since his first birthday.
Seems pretty crazy right?
But what is even crazier is that you know why I knew the theme so early?
Well it's because I bought his big boy bedding before his 1 year old Birthday.

Here are some of my ideas...
The bedding is a baseball theme.
I picked it up at Pottery Barn Kids because he just had to have it.
A year later I am still in love with it and can't wait to start on his big boy room.

See it's pretty cute right?
So while I would be in the process of planning a Birthday party he probably wont remember,
I will also have to be...
working full time,
being a full time mommy and wife,
planning and buying things for a big boy room,
blogging,
and working on a couple big projects I have up my sleeve that will make our family some cash money.
So what do I do?
I love parties, I love planning and putting stuff together.
I am really good at it and enjoy it.
But I already have a lot on my plate and dont want to over do it.
I know how stressed I will be and I won't be a 100% mommy, wife, or employee
if I pull my self too thin.
Do I just suck it up and do the party.
He is only 2 once...
If we don't do a  party we still want to do sometrhing special for him so we decided that
I will get him a custom made 2 year old shirt off Etsy
and a birthday cake and get some professional pictures done.
We also want to take him to one of those inflatable jumping places
and let him do whatever he wants for the day.

So, tell me, what would you do?

My Friday's Fancies::Picnic::

Picnic

Today I am linking up with AV over at Long Distance Loving
for another edition of My Friday's Fancies.
And this week we all are designing outfits that we would wear to a picnic.

It is a  Picnic kinda day.
The weather is absolutely gorgeous today here in Florida.
And if I was attending a picnic on this beautiful Florida day, I would wear this.
Instead I am chained to my work desk.
However a girl can dream of
Tory Burch flip flops, some big over sized sunnies, fedoras, and good 'ol Vitamin D.

So, here is to a day in the sun, all while eating some delish picnic goodies.
Hope you have a great weekend.

Talking Big Boy Beds

My baby is officially not a baby anymore.
We are crib-less.
Did you hear me?
No more sweet baby crib is in my boy's room!
We only have big boys in our house.

Colby is now in a big boy toddler bed.
It happened way to fast too.

I picked him up from day care on Friday and his sitter mentioned
that he climbed out of the baby jail pack n play several times during nap time.
Right when she said that I imagined him climbing up in his crib standing on the side rail
and act like he was King Kong on the empire state building before he jumps and broke every bone in his monkey boy body.

I mentioned to the hubs that he is climbing out at day care
and that we should probably look into toddler beds soon.
Before I know it, Saturday afternoon we have a toddler bed
assembled, bed made to perfection, and his itty bitty sweet crib taken down.

You see, I called my mom on the way home Friday afternoon to tell
her about my little Spidey Boy and that we need to eventually move him
into a big boy bed.
She told me that she would be garage sailing on Saturday and would look for one.
Well, what do you know she found one for an incredible deal that was built with a nice
wood and was spotless

So far, the big boy bed process is going well.
I am telling you, that this baby will adapt to practically any new change.
It's unreal.
It makes us not want another kid because we might not get so lucky next time.

Round 1:
Bedtime v. Mommy & Daddy
I was ready for a down right brawl with this baby.
Snuggled in bed with the video monitor and my quick step.
Can I just tell you that he did not get out of his bed once.
He feel right asleep.
No problem-o
Round 2:
Nap time v. Mommy & Daddy
Again, loaded with the video monitor in hand and ready to pounce like a cheetah.
You see,
this baby did not seem like he wanted to nap.
He was standing up in his bed, laughing at himself, throwing his blanket over his head, dangling his legs off the bed.
Until, the very second
he scooted his little booty off and took a step.
I zoomed in there faster than lightening and put him back in his bed.
And boy, did that make him mad!
Screaming lasted for about 3 minutes and then he was at it again.
Again, right when his feet hit the floor I was in there armed with monitor in hand
and sweet firm words.
I swear he looked at me like he wanted to pimp slap me.
Crying carried on again.
This whole long process carried on for about an hour and a half.
Until the hubs went in there and rocked that baby to sleep.
At least he slept in his big boy bed by himself for about an hour and a half.

Round 3:
Bedtime v. Mommy & Daddy

We put C down at his regular bed time and he cried for only a couple of minutes.
After the crying sustained, that baby did not fall asleep until 9:30!!
He did not get out of his bed so I guess it's a win for Mommy & Daddy
but geez baby 9:30!
That's late.
Needless to say he was one cranky toddler the next day.

I don't think he is diggin his big boy bed just yet but we are getting there.
Thank goodness C seems to adjust to almost anything new.
Mommies do you have any tips for nap time?
How do I keep him laying down?
How do I make him want to fall asleep?
Any and all tips welcomed.

Spring Time Beauty

Thanks to Walgreens for underwriting this post. I was paid as a member of the Clever Girls Collective, but the content is all mine. Visit http://www.discoverbeautywithin.com/.

It's Spring time!
And you know what one of my must haves for spring is?
Its a fresh faced and clean look.
So simple, but yet so important.
Your skin and hair is everything in your appearance.

Today, I am going to be sharing some of my favorite beauty products with you.
The best thing about these products are that they can be found
at your local Walgreens.

First up is probably my favorite product.
I have been using Clearasil for ages now.
Like since I was a teenager.
This product works wonders.
My face always feels fresh and clean and normally
its pimple free and I give all the credit to Clearasil.

Next up is Clean & Clear's moisturizer.
It has some salicylic acid in it to prevents break outs,
all while keeping your skin moisturized.
Love this product!

Yes, cherry ChapStick!!
I have tubes of this stuff all over the place
2 in my makeup bag, one in my bathroom, one at my desk at work,
one in my purse, and one in my diaper bag.
I am prone to chapped lips, which I absolutely can't stand,
so I keep a stash so I can avoid those pesky chapped lips.
Now this ChapStick doesn't just cure my problem,
it adds a nice pink hue to my lips.

I am a lotion-holic.
I can't get out of the shower and not use lotion.
If I do I feel like I will scratch my skin off.
I love lotion.
If I wash my hands I have to use lotion immediately.
I love lotion.
Its a sick obsession.
Moisturizing is my heaven.

Before my son was born I used expensive hair care products.
Before his arrival I knew I had to cut back on some unnecessary purchases,
such as expensive shampoos and conditioners.
I first tried out Herbal Essences and my nose fell in love.
Yes my nose.
Herbal Essences smells divine!
But not only does it smell like amazingness is smacking me in the face,
it makes my hair feel soft and better than any other expensive hair care product I have used.
And...I could tell it was restoring my hair back to it's normalness.
They call it Hydrolicious for a reason.

Dove products are so pure and always leave my skin feeling great.
I have used their soaps since I was young.
My skin always felt nice and smelled like a freshly washed baby
and their product hasn't changed a bit.
I still love it.
When they came out with their deodorant I knew I had to try it out.
My arm pits are truly soft and smell like...well they smell nice.
I can chase C around all day and feel refreshed and not like a smelly hot mess.
Dove products are one of the best products on the shelves.

So, tell me, what are some of your favorite drug store products?
Are you ready for spring?

My Friday's Fancies::Pastels::

Pastels

Pastels just might be my favorite color tone.
They are so gorgeous and are simply girly.
And if you know anything about me, I am a girly girl for sure.
And this girl would love to own this entire outfit.
Polyvore gods, please have this magically appear in my closet.
Don't forget the shoes :)

This outfit all came together when I found this TIBI top.
It's perfect.
All the colors come together so nicely and paired with a soft pink skinny jean just screams
a warm spring day.
All that would be needed to be a nice cool mojito in hand.
It of course matches the outfit and my new fav color...mint green.

So, tell me, what is your favorite pastel color?
Is it the new mint green?

Dont forget to enter my gift card giveaway.
