Pinterest Love::Fashion::

I have the spending itch.
I want to go out and buy all new clothes for summer.
Along with shoes and accessories of course.

However, I have put myself on a spending freeze this month.
I had a couple of unexpected bills come up that I have to deal with.
So, in the mean time I am going to have to just look at the pretty eye candy.

This whole spending freeze might not be a bad idea.
Lets just see how it goes....

In the mean time, here are some pretties I have been eyeing on Pinterest.

I would love to have this in a clutch.
The colors are so beautiful.

I have one of these necklaces.
I guess I need to get one more to complete this look.
Oh darn.
These chevron bangles are a must.
They are so fun!!
I will be getting myself a pair of these before the summer is over.

Well, I love all things bows.
And these shoes are no exception.
They are simply gorgeous.

Is this just not the perfect accessory.
They have several cute cases out there for the iPhone but you can use this for your Droid.
Love it. must have it.

Oh and these Chloe shoes.
Perfection.

I will keep you updated on how the spending freeze went.
I am not going to like it but it must be done.

Operation spending freeze starts NOW!

My Friday's Fancies::Memorial Day Weekend::

Memorial Day

It's a long weekend!!
Holla!
I can't even tell you all how much I need this weekend.
This week has just gone by so slow and I need a break.
This weekend this girl and I are going to Orlando for the weekend.

Sorry to say but we aren't being glamorous and laying out by the pool with fun drinks.
Nor are we BBQ-ing with a bunch of friends.
We are however going to go see my bestie and her baby.
It will be fun but a lot different than my normal Memorial Day weekends.
I am sure we will go to the splash park with the kiddos though.
Hopefully we can get in some outlet mall shopping too!
Orlando has some great outlet malls and great sales on Memorial Day weekend.

So, if I was laying pool side or BBQ-ing this is the outfit I would love to wear.
My favorite is that bag.
That color rocks!
Kate Spade does it right every time.

So, cheers to you ladies.
Have a great and safe Memorial Day weekend.

Vegas Baby

Well we are back.
Boooo,
now back to reality.
If you follow me on Instagram and Twitter you probably noticed I was in VEGAS!
We had a great time!
We went for vacation/our annivesary trip.
The trip was full of food, laying out, napping, gambling and drinking.
I totally forgot that the night life just keeps on going in Vegas.
I don't see how these people party their faces off like they do.
It's incredible.
I felt old.

I must say that my favorite spot to eat was the Sugar Factory.

To be honest I was on the celebrity hunt.
I wanted to see a Kardashian.
No luck though.
But look at all the celebs that have been there...

All of their menu items were so delicious looking
and full of sugary goodness.
We went twice, the first for lunch,
which I got this huge sandwich and was totally tempted by their milkshakes,
and the second time I got crepes with chocolate sauces for breakfast.
It was divine!
If you are in Vegas you must stop into the Sugar Factory.

Although I didn't get a Kardashian siting,
the Jenner girls were there days after we left.
They were in the same exact spots that we were too.
Yes, I peep on their instagrams, yes they were teens, and yes I heart them.

So, now I am back to the grind of working and changing diapers.
It's not as glamorous as Vegas but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Working Mama Wears ::Accessories::

A couple of weeks ago I posted about some outfits that are for the Working Mama.
You can find that post here.
Today I am talking about accessories to pull a working mama's look together
as well as important items that will be sure to keep any mama organized.

First up,
a great bag is a must!
This mama right here has quite the obsession for a great classic bag.
And like the shoes I posted about in the first Working Mama Wears
I would suggest a good, sturdy, leather, large bag in a black or brown.
Black and brown go with everything.
That way you can splurge a bit on the bag because you only have to buy two bags.
I have a Louis Vuitton that I double as a work and diaper bag.
The bag is perfection and I know it will last for years and years.
I also have a larger sized Kate Spade bag in black
that I can stuff full and still look like a trendy mama.
Again, this bag will be my go to bag for years to come.

Working Mama Wears::Accessories::

Up next are simple jewelry pieces.
My work staples are a silver watch, gold watch, silver diamond stud earrings, gold earrings,
and a long chain necklace in silver and one in gold.
When I want to dress up an outfit I normally throw on a longer necklace.
It is a simple way to look like you put more work into your outfit than you actually did.
I buy a lot of my longer necklaces at Ann Taylor.
I normally only wear my diamond studs and gold earrings to work.
I don't like to do big hoops or chandelier earrings at work.
I personally feel that keeping your earrings simple at work is a bit more professional.
Also, every working Mama needs to know the time.
You don't want to be late for important scheduled meetings
or picking up your sweet face from day care.

Oh technology,
us Mama's love being connected at all times.
So besides looking fab with all your other accessories,
don't forget to make a statement out of your pieces of technology.
There are so many fun and beautiful cases out there for the iPhone.
Tory Burch makes my favorite iPhone cases.
Look at the one above.
Its gorgeous and leopard print!
Whether you have an iPad or Mac, there are some gorgeous cases and accessories out there
to protect your social media  work life.
Also, an agenda is on the must have to keep any working mama organized.
I personally have the Erin Condren life planner.
It keeps me super organized, however that sucker is heavy!
I hate to tote it around in fear of losing my circulation.
Yes, its that heavy.
I would suggest something more along the lines of the one above.
It's my Kate Spade and is more compact and portable.
Kate Spade makes delicious office products.
Go check them out to see how Ms. Spade can make you more organized and trendy.

So ladies,
what are your go to accessories for the working mama?

My Raw Thoughts ::Adoption::

There is something that you don't know about me...
I am adopted.
Yep, adopted.
To be honest the thought never really even crosses my mind.
What made me think about adoption recently was
Mandy's from the House of Rose blogs announcement.
They are in the process of adopting, and I think that is amazing!
Again, I want to send a bit congrats to Mandy and her family.

When I tell people I am adopted I get the strangest responses.
 From "oh I'm sorry"
 to "but why? "
"are you okay with it?"
"so were you an orphan?"
I laugh at these questions, because really people, I am just like you,
and no I was not an orphan, and why in the world are you sorry for me?
I love my family and wouldn't want to change my life for anything,
yes I am ok with it, what could I do about it anyways?

From what I hear a lot of adopted people have issues with the fact that they are adopted.
I find that very bizarre and don't really understand it.
Maybe it's because I had a great childhood,
don't feel that I missed out on anything, have very supportive parents,
and overall am thankful for being adopted.
God picked these people for me and I trust in him that he has placed me with me these parents for a reason.
I don't question it or even second guess it.
My parents loved me like I was their own.
I never ever have felt like I was not part of my adopted family.

And no, I don't have any desire to meet my birth parents.
Most people don't understand that and think I am crazy that I have no desire
to see the people who created me.
But you know what, if they wanted to find me, with technology these days,
I doubt they would have much of a problem.
People think I should find them to ask them about my medical history.
Again, not really sure why so many people are so adamant that
I find MY birth parents but they are.
Well, knowing that someone in my family had cancer or another diseases is going to do what for me?
People who know who their birth parents are and know their medical history
still could come down with medical issues.
So I don't find it that big a deal, I go the the doctor regularly and get check ups and that's all I can do.

But don't you want to know what they look like?
This is probably my favorite questions, and again, don't know why everyone is so concerned,
but you know what...they look like me...duh?!
So no, I don't really feel the need to go on a full hunt just to see these strangers appearances,
I can just look in the mirror and get a good idea of what they look like.
Don't get me wrong, I have thought about what it would be like to find my birth parents.
But you know what?
What if they are cracked out loonies who I have now exposed myself and my family too?
What if they just want to suck the life out of me and my good heart?
What if I open Pandora's box.
Its an all or nothing type of situation.
You cant just look at them from a far and decide to dive in.
So, maybe you get lucky and you get the same together family that welcomes me with open arms and love,
or you get the money sucking bat shit crazy family that is nothing but troubles and heart breaks.
No thanks,
I am not into taking risks, especially this one.
I have a family already who loves me and my adorable son,
I don't want to take any chances especially now that I have my own precious family who I want to protect.

Many people find my views of adoption harsh, but hey what can I say....this is how I feel.

Family Foto Fancies

I am here with another edition of Family Foto Fancies!
In case you have missed out on what Family Foto Fancies is,
I will give you the run down.

Family Foto Fancies is the combination of
the amazing photographer behind
and
we have teamed up to bring you outfits that you could actually wear to a photo shoot.
Outfits that coordinate and are at an actual price point people can afford.
And the beautiful photographer herself,
Mrs. Christina Higman will have a tip for you all.

Now that the Easter holiday is behind us
and Summer is creeping up,
we wanted to put together another family photo shoot.
This shoot is based all around Navy & White, and of course a little pop of color.

Navy & White is such a clean and classic look.
This families put together look, goes perfectly in any outdoor setting.
It will make natures natural colors pop for sure.
Family Foto Fancies

Family Foto Fancies by cheryl-enlow featuring flip flop shoes

Navy and white compliment each other oh so well,
but it is nice to have an added a pop of color in the mix.
Coral goes beautifully with navy and white
and is the perfect pop of color because it is so in right now.

And a tip from the photographer herself:

When deciding what to wear for the photo shoot,
 try on different outfits.
Once you pick the outfit,
try out different positions in the outfit.
Most photo shoots, especially with families, are active and fun, so people run, sit, play, etc.
If your outfit doesn't easily allow you to move,
it might not be the best choice.
