It's A Pizza Party!

We threw our sweet face a small family get together to celebrate his 2nd birthday.

The birthday boy had a blast and loved getting all the attention and of course new toys.

Like I said it was a very small party but I had to do some decorating and add some fun touches.

I just can't help myself.

So of course I jumped over to Pinterest and Etsy to help me out with the Pizza Party ideas.

I was in pizza party heaven and wanted to go way overboard, but thank goodness for a budget because this little 2 year old party could have quickly evolved into purchasing a pizza joint.

By the way, I love pizza, so that really wouldnt be the worse thing.

 Now, for the low down on where I picked up some decently priced goodies for the bash.

Birthday Shirt- TuTu Cute Bows.

It was a basic white tee with the number 2 and his name monogrammed on it.

It turned out super cute.

Cupcake Toppers were from the fabulous Parker's Flour Patch on Etsy.

This toppers were by far my favorite piece of his whole party.

They totally tied everything together, she did an awesome job!

And talk about customer service...she rocks!

I emailed her on the 4th of July and she responded back.

I should be ashamed of myself for contacting her on a holiday but this Mama is busy during the week and thats the only downtime I could do it.

Pizza Boy Invitations- were also from DoDoBirdDesigns on Etsy.

I and was very happy with how they turned out and how quickly she got them to me.

I love Summer!

And I love treats that keep me cool in the summer.

My favorite is of course ice cream but I also enjoy, smoothies, popsicles,margaritas, slushies, etc.

Ya know, anything icy cold.

My favorite thing about this outfit are those shoes.

I think I am going to have to hunt these down.

They would go perfectly with so many different outfits.

It's Ok

 Today I am linking up with Neely over at A Complete Waste of Makeupfor It's Ok Thursday. It's Ok -that I have no desire to eat pizza ever again is it?We had a pizza and a half leftover from C's pizza party and the hubs insisted we eat it all. -that I did not like the new Starbucks refresher drink.It was pretty and smelled delish but not sweet enough in my opinion.I wont be getting on this bandwagon. -that speaking of bandwagons, I wont be purchasing Erin Condren's Life Planner this year.Too expensive and way to heavy.I have enough ish to carry around with a baby. -that I went to bed at 8:15 on Tuesday night.This Mama was exhausted. -when I start bawling like a baby when C starts school next week.It wont be pretty and they already think I am a little nutty there (crazy questions about background checks...I may have taken it too far...haha). Oh well. -that I am not gaga over my Bubble necklace.Its cute and I like the way it looks but it is so heavy and gives me a raging headache by the end of the day. -that I want to have a whole weekend baby free to just sleep in and catch up on TV series like Dexter,Gossip Girl, Housewives, etc.

Big Boy Room::Baseball::

For C's birthday present we got him a big boy room.

The hubs is totally into baseball so he wanted to do his room in a baseball theme.

When I came across this quilt on Pottery Barn Kids I just could not resist.

I had to make it mine Colby's.

I may or may not have even bought it a year in advance at one of their great quilt sales.

The gallery wall is my favorite.

I printed off some printables from Pinterest and

made blew up some pictures, reused some canvases from his nursery,

and came up with this wall.

We barely ever use his rocker anymore but I could not part with it.

If I could keep it for the rest of his life I would.

It is so comfy and reminds me of him as a sweet , sweet babe.

His room is very small but we seemed to mange to fit in a

full sized bed, large dress, and the rocker.

I still have some additions I would like to make like some cute baseball bobble heads and something to go over his bed, but for now this will do.

He seems to like it.

Birthday Boy

You are turning two today!

And I couldn't be a more proud Mama.

I never knew I could love as much as I love you.

I feel like I don't deserve such an amazing little boy.

I thank God for you each and every day and I hope I never take you for granted.

You have taught me so much about how to smile with my heart, happiness, being a family, enjoying a good nap time, Thomas & Friends, learning how to take the world's quickes and most effective shower, and most of all to open my heart and love unconditionally.

I hope I can make and mold you into the man I know you are underneath all of your toddler-ness.

God has amazing things in store for you.

I love you so much and can't wait to watch you grow.

My Friday's Fancies::Vaca::

It's hard not to pack your whole closet when you go on vacation.
I personally get the "what if's" when I pack...
What if its chilly and I need a sweater,
what if it's super hot and I need shorts,
what if I decide I want to wear that shirt I haven't worn in five years...
Ya know, the what if's.

When I am packing and deciding what to wear for a long vacation
I try and pack items that will go with several different outfits.
You need to break out your staples,
for examples,
your brown and black shoes.
Flip flops and flats are my favorite vacationing shoe.
Also a universal large bag is good to bring,
you can put so much stuff in a large tote, including some of your "what if's"
Also, don't forget your jeans,
jeans go with everything!
As far as accessories go, just stick with either silver or gold and rewear the same pieces.

So, those are my traveling tips,
hope they come in handy some day.

This week I am saying SO WHAT to...

1. Eating an ice cream cone every night.

That Publix commerical with that Espresso Chip ice cream is too heavenly to pass up and with a waffle cone.

Simply divine.

2. If I have been in party planning mode this week and thats all I can think about.

T-minus 3 days until party day!!

Must clean, order pizzas, cupcakes, put up all the decor, order balloons, get cokes, get beer (ya know because you can't have pizza without beer) make sure I take cute pics for the blog, etc, ya know the basic party stuff.

3. I side-swiped a pole after a long night of celebrating Jordan Rothwell's birthday.

This girl was tired and party too much.

But was totally worth it for this girl.

4. That I normally spend my lunch breaks (1 hour) at the mall or whereever is hosting the sale of the week.

This past week was the Old Navy's 40% off sale.

I stocked up on 3T and 4T for C.

5. If all I watch is Real Housewives of...well...all of them. and Keeping up with the Kardashians.

In case you haven't gotten the memo, I am obsessed with all things Kardash.

6. I have a wish list of practically of all Tory Burch items.

My first up are one pair of Carolines and a pair of brown and black Miller's.

Now, I just gotta save up to get Mama some new shoes.

7. I have been to Target 3 times this week.

The 30% off toy clearance has been haunting me...when are they going to mark them down to 50%???

The Pinterest pin is way off on this one I must say.

Questions1. How long have you been blogging?

I have been blogging for about three + years now.

I had another blog before my Nap Time blog, I think it was called "My Sweet Life" or something like that.

I blogged more about celebrity gossip and style there.

I think I only had like 8 followers.

And what got you started on blogging?

I first started blogging when I ran across all these other amazing blogs.

I thought it would be fun to journal by experiences and thoughts.

It really didn't turn out like that at first and really isn't 100% that now,

but I do it because I love it and find it fun.

It really has become my hobby.

When you have a toddler, scrapbooking, shopping, and a lot of other crafy stuff seems to go out the window. There isn't much time for outside hobbies.

Thank goodness I can hop onto my computer with my glass of wine and blog away.

2. Did you go to college?

I went to the great FLORIDA STATE!

I am of course a bit biased but its the best school ever!

Tallahassee is a gorgeous town and boy can these college students party!

Oh how I miss the good 'ol days.

Sleeping till 2:00 and staying out till 3

with no job and no bills.

If so where, and what did you study?

I got my Bachelor's in Social Work.

Do I do this now?

Ummmm no way.

Not for me.

3. Where have you traveled?

Oh what a fun question!

I have been so many places throughout the US,

all over Florida, Kansas City (lived there for a year), Georgia, California,

New York, Texas, Pennsylvania, etc.

I must say my favorite place is Key West,

and yes I live in Florida but I just can't get enough of this place.

If you have not been there,

go, schedule a vacation there now!!

It's paradise.

I have also been to Dubai.

Everything in Duabi is gorgeous and extravagant.

Yes we  went skiing in the mall, sand dooned bashed, had a typical middle eastern meal complete with eating on the floor,went to the Sooks, and did it all.

My husband got sent there to work and I went to go visit him.

I travelled to and from by myself and I must say it was nerve wracking.

Going to a foreign country where they don't speak English and the people are known

for not liking Americans...very scary stuff.

I must say the people there was so nice and wonderful.

I dont think I have met nicer people.

4. If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you would buy?

We would probably buy a new house.

Boring yes but that is what we need right now.

And yes, I have the neighborhood already picked out.

I would really take any home in that neighborhood.

A shopping spree would be a close second I must say.

5. What are your 3 biggest pet peeves?

Haha, I have so many pet peeves to list 3 is going to be rough.

1. When people tell me to smile or ask if I am in a bad mood.

Why? Why? Ask people this or direct people to smile??

I am fine and whats the big deal if I am not smiling all the time.

Seriously, get over it.

2. When people are not on time.

When you tell someone you will be there at a certain time...be there.

It is rude and you are making the other person go out of there way to wait for you booty.

Not acceptable in my book.

3. Open cabinet doors.

This one is for you hubs.

When I walk into the kitchen and all the cabinet doors are open.

I seriously want to scream, why can't you just close the F-ing door.

If you open it, you close it.

Basic people, basic.

6. What is your drink of choice; wine, beer, or liquor. Or Water, Soda, Tea?

WINE ME!

I love red wines, Malbec is my favorite.

Beer: Coors Light.

Liquor: Malibu and Pineapple, Sangria or a Margaritia of course.

Water.

7. What is something you enjoy to do when you have me time?

SLEEP or browse blogs.

Preferablly sleep.

8. If you could have a $10,000 shopping spree to one store, which store would it be?

9. What day would you love to relive again?

Colby's birthday,

with many, many, redos...

minus the pain of course but I would like to remember the expereince of his birth.

There are so many things I don't remember.

People ask me questions abouth is birth all the time and I dont remember a thing.

I was in too much pain so I mentally checked out.

It was a bad expereince I must say.

10. If your life was turned into a movie... what actor would play you?

Kourtney Kardashian

Not sure if you would techincally call her an actress but I think she could be a good fit,

she seems like the kinda girl who just says what comes to her mind but also has a neurotic side.

That is me to a T.

Did you see the episdode of KUWTK where Koutney wouldn't get on the plane to go to the Dominican...thats me. 

11. What are the jobs you had in high school/college/the early years?

I worked at the Shake Shop.

It was awesome, I got to eat ice cream and got paid for it.

I also worked at Tia's Tex Mex as server in college...

hello big money for a college student.

I banked!

12. If you could travel anywhere in the world, all expenses paid, where would you go?

I want to go to Bora Bora so bad!

Oh and to stay in one of these please.

I would like to add my own private pool and butler to the room please.

Oh and I am not a fan of flying, so if I could get there faster than sitting on a long

plane ride. Dont know what kinda transportation that is but ill take it.

14. Where do you see your life 5 years from now?

Hopefully our family will be complete with two boys and my husband and I.
