A New Year's resolution
is a commitment that a person makes to one or more personal goals, projects, or the reforming of a habit. A key element to a New Year's Resolution that sets it apart from other resolutions is that it is made in anticipation of the New Year and new beginnings. People committing themselves to a New Year's resolution generally plan to do so for the whole following year. This lifestylechange is generally interpreted as advantageous.
Well thank you Wikipedia for that very informing definition.
What they fail to mention is this riveting definition is the success rate.
It's kind of embarrassing actually.
88% of people who make New Years Resolutions FAIL.
And out of those people,
52% of them were confident that they would complete their resolutions.
With those pathetic numbers I will tell you right now that
I WILL NOT be making a New Years Resolution.
Nope, not me.
First off, my birthday is January 2nd and I refuse to be on a diet/work out plan on my birthday.
Sorry just not me.
I normally stuff myself with my favs, which include a little bit of
Mexican, Olive Garden, Wine, and of course my ultimate favorite
BIRTHDAY CAKE.
No holds bar here.
All out on my birthday.
But I must say that come January 3rd I will start to eat better and work out.
It's a must.
Not only for my weight but for my general health.
So, since I simply can not say no to birthday cake,
my new years non-resolution is
Jan 3rd or until the cake is all gone!
So here is to a New Year and some birthday cake!
