Social Media Addict #yesthatsme

You see,
I purchased the hot off the press Erin Condren Life Planner,
the must have fashion accessory of 2012, the Bubble Necklace,
I had to get my hands on every piece of chevron clothing and home decor out there,
oh and those Tory Burch Reva's,
had to have those too...or actually so I thought until I tried them on.
I did not find them comfortable at all.
But the Revas are besides the point.

My point is to tell you that all of the above drool-worthy items
were all the rage at one point in my social media perusing.
I was/am addicted to all aspects of social media.

Sometimes I feel like it takes over my life.

My Facebook, Instagram, Blog and Twitter
is my every day life.
I must be honest.
I love it.

So as the Erin Condren Life Planner craze is out in a hot minute,
I feel like this new form of social media, Vine will be gone in a flash.
So, do I join to see what all the fuss is about?
Or
Do I just put my foot down and say NO MORE SOCIAL MEDIA!!

To be honest,
I don't think I can take on another social media platform.
My mind might burst.
I simple just can not do it.
I have way too my feeds and tweets and streams and blah blah blah.
My addiction can no longer hang.
Lets see if I can hold off my addiction.

My Facebook and Instagram feed is blowing up
with every ones profile picture of their new Vine account.
I must say I am a bit jealous.
I wish I could do it all.
But I am going to have it sit this one out Vine.

I am not a huge Valentines Day person.

I think the holiday is cute and enjoy getting goodies as well as love and affection,

but its not one of my favorite holidays.

My Friday's Fancies ::Black & White::

Black and White by cheryl-enlow featuring kate spade jewelry

A black and white outfit can be so simple and so chic.

I am in love with this outfit.

I wish I had all of these pieces in my closet to pull together this look.

It is so easy but yet looks like a million bucks.

One of the most important things to me in a black and white outfit is to add a bit of my own sass to it. 

So I like to add a bright color bag or shoe to set off the outfit.

So What Wednesday

It's Wednesday and So What. So what if...
The E family hit up Disney last week and C's most favorite thing about the whole trip was this $10.00 double Micky Mouse balloon. The kid liked the Disney, the rides, the characters, parade, and food but seriously the one single balloon was hands down his favorite. Weird kid I got I tell ya.

I finally bit the bullet and bought the Keurig. I must admit that I am not THAT crazy about it. I drink my coffee in massive amounts and you simply just can't do that with the Keurig, and it doesn't get piping hot. Which is very annoying to me.

I am obsessed with this song. "It's Britney Bitch" never get old, love her.

It's 2013 if ya haven't heard and I hopped onto the eating better bandwagon like everyone else and their Mother.

And MyFitness Pal is my best friend.

Seriously the bar code scanner thing-a-ma-jig is the best.

To see how many calories in some foods is scary and disgusting.

However scary and disgusting foods are ah-mazing.

But fruits and Amy's burritos have helped me stay on track.

How To Verify Your Blogger Blog On Pinterest

Those of you who use Blogger can now verify your blogs through Pinterest.

By verifying your Blog through Pinterest this will help on a couple different levels.

First of all most of us want to make our blog a brand. 

Since Pinterest is such a big social media outlet for us bloggers, this will help us

bloggers brand your blog easier.

Secondly, it will help drive traffic to our blogs.

Which is obviously what us as bloggers want.

Isn't that one of the main reasons we blog, so that others will see our content.

Also that little thing called SEO...yeah it will help tremendously with that.

To verify your Blogger blog on Pinterest is pretty easy. 

First,

Go to your settings found here

After clicking on settings scroll down until you see "Website"

Enter your blog address and hit "Verify Website" 

The next step will ask if you would like to download an 

HTML file or Verify with an HTML Meta Tag.

Choose Verify with an HTML Meta Tag.

Copy the whole HTML Meta Tag that is in the gray box.

Next, log into Blogger, go to Template and select Edit HTML

When you go in to open the HTML code make sure you SAVE your current template.

The last thing you want is for your beautiful blog to disappear.

So simply copy, paste and save your HTML into a Word document.

After you click "Edit HTML" 

Check the box "Expand Widget Template"

In order to find where to enter the Meta Tag,

hit "Control F" and type in "</head>

Once you find this, enter in your HTML Meta Tag above <head>

After you enter the code here,

preview your template to make sure that everything is where it is supposed to be.

Click "Save"

Now that you have completed installing it into your blog template,

jump back over to your Pinterest settings and select "Click here" to complete the process.

You and your blog are now verified through Pinterest

It's easy as that!

I always pick a look from Kourtney's wardrobe.

She is bar far the best dressed Kardashian.

This look is very simple and looks so comfortable to boot.

My favorite are the Guiseppe Zanotti Lasercut Booties.

You could wear these with everything.

Aren't they just so perfect!!

Not sure if I could pull them off or not but I would sure like to try.

Spa Peppermint Salt Scrub {DIY}

I love to treat myself to spa treatments.

But lets get real, I hate to pay the expensive prices 

associated with those heavenly treatments.

One of my favorite treatments are the sugar scrubs, especially the peppermint feet scrubs.

Well since my other in-law knows me very well, she gifted me some homemade scrubs

and one of them was the scrumptious peppermint foot scrub.

Since I love it so much and love to save some cash flow for the real deal spa treatments that I can't do myself like massages, I thought I would share the recipe that my other in-law used to create the relaxing and rejuvenating foot scrub.

1 Cup Epsom Salt

1/4 Almond Oil 

10 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil

5 Drops Coconut Oil

1 Tablespoon dried Peppermint Leaves

Mix all ingredients together.

Put the scrub into a sealed container and enjoy the pure bliss that is the Spa Peppermint Scrub.

I love fashion.

And one of my favorites in fashion are the accessories.

Recap of Christmas 2012

Well Christmas came and went and I must say I am whipped.

I worked on Christmas Eve, had my house decorated and cleaned, 

cookies baked, presents wrapped, and the menu planned out. 

Whew, good thing this only happens once a year.

Even though the "magic" of Christmas isn't there anymore for me, 

I found it more fun to watch C go crazy on Christmas day.

And crazy did he go.

I dont think he even fully "got it" but he sure loved all the pressies.

I went a little nuts-o on the presents but I just could not help myself.

With C being into Mickey, George, Thomas, and every other furry and blue character out there

I just had to buy it all! 

And that I did.

I find it humerous that when I went through all my Christmas pictures that 90% of them are blurry.

C could not and would not sit, stand, lean, or even sleep still.

He was literally all over the place. 

But the smile and giddy that that kids face when he got his bike was priceless.

We could have just gotten him the bike and he would have been in hog heaven.

Hands down that was the fav Santa gift.

I must applaud myself.

Husband said no to the bike,

I am so glad I didn't listen.

And now that I have gained 10 extra pounds by eating every Christmas cookie

and every last bag there was at Target of Angies Chocolate Covered Popcorn, 

I need to loose this weight, get back into the normal routine only to do it again all in another 300 and something days.

It was a good Chrismas in the E house. 

Can't wait to do it again next year.
